Hawthorne, located just north of downtown Minneapolis, is known to have a higher crime rate. Another neighborhood to be cautious in is Midtown Phillips, along with the eastern part of Phillips. Jordan, Folwell, Ventura Village, Harrison, and Beltrami are also neighborhoods that may require extra vigilance. As with any city, it's important to exercise caution and be aware of your surroundings at all times, but don't let these areas deter you from experiencing all that Minneapolis has to offer.
